Let’s Get Real

a lot of things are seriously wrong

The National Bureau of Civic Affairs exists to help people—in person, face to face, boots on the ground.

We aren’t just about “raising awareness” – people are aware:

A lot of things are broken, a lot of people need help, and a lot of the time, there is no one who can do anything to fix it.

We want to change that.

We believe real change starts when real people show up—with tools in hand, not just opinions. Our mission is to fill in the cracks where government and other systems fall short—whether that means cleaning up neighborhoods, feeding people who need a meal, or helping someone understand how to navigate a public service system.

We’re a place to turn to when you’re being bullied by a very flawed system.

We can’t promise we can fix everything. But we can try.

We organize direct action: cleanup crews, aid distribution, educational workshops, and public service efforts that happen offline and in real time. Our teams work in underserved communities, showing up consistently with actual support and actual connection.

We also create media to spotlight civic issues, provide education, and help people understand what they can do to get involved.

We aren’t here for clout.

We’re just here to help.
