Who we are

The National Bureau of Civic Affairs (NBCA) was founded by Forrest Baldwin to fill the gaps left by a flawed and broken system. The hard truth is, a lot of the things NBCA does should already be handled by those in power—but they’re not. So, instead of waiting around, the Bureau stepped up.

Forrest isn’t a millionaire or some polished nonprofit leader. He’s just a homeschooled kid who built a modestly successful pest control business with his brother and realized he could use his resources to actually help people. Forrest saw that no one else was tackling these problems directly—so he decided to take action.

NBCA is not for profit and will never be for profit. Why? Because some things should just be about doing good. The government should be handling these issues—not an independent grassroots effort. But they aren’t. So here the NBCA is—showing up, tools in hand, ready to make a difference.
